Can you bleed through period underwear?

Bleeding through your period underwear, known as leaking, is unlikely if you use a proper absorbency level. You’ll also need to change your period underwear when it’s full to prevent leakage.

How often should you change your period underwear?

Changing period underwear depends on when you need it. You should change it if you feel like it’s already full. However, we recommend changing at least 2 - 3 times a day for hygiene reasons.

An easy way to tell if you should be changing to a fresh pair of period underwear is to check the side seams of gusset (the patch of fabric that sits on the inner crotch of your period underwear).

Seeing blood on the side seams will be a good indicator that your underwear is reaching maximum absorbency.
